Health Minister Dr. Chitalu Chilufya has warned Members of the Public that they risk being jailed for 15 Years with hard labour if they beat Health Officers who will be collecting blood.
According to the Information made available to Zambian Watch, Dr. Chitalu Chilufya want the University of Maryland Baltimore through a Project called ‘Zambia Population Based HIV_Impact Assessment’ ZAMPHA-2020 to collect blood from the Zambian people by force.
Over 27 teams which consist of 9 participants of Officers have been selected and will start the operation of Collecting blood few weeks from now.
Zambian Watch is reliably informed that Hot FM, Mellenium Radio, ZNBC TV and Radio, Joy FM, Komboni Radio and Phoenix have been targeted to be used as platforms to tell Zambian people that they must comply by giving blood to these officers.
These Officers will collect blood from each and household with the protex that they want to collect data on people who are HIV/AIDS Positive.
Under normal procedures, a person can be tested HIV on lancent with a single drop of blood but in this case, Health Officers will demand to remove about 14 mls of blood from every individual.
Blood wil be taken from every Zambian weather negative or positive as a way of looking for other infections which are not being disclosed by the Ministry of Health.
But Health Minister Dr. Chitalu Chilufya has warned those who will not comply or Beat up these officers that they risk being arrested for 15 Years with hard labour.
Dr. Chitalu Chilufya further told Zambian Watch in an Interview that these Health Officers will be moving with Police Officers to give them protection from Members of the Public.
